The Entertainment Technician is responsible for the set-up, execution and maintenance of entertainment venue sound, lighting and video equipment for concerts as well as corporate events.

Where You'll Make an Impact

  • Setting up and operating venue audio, video, staging, and lighting systems for concerts and corporate events.  
  • Trouble shooting and problem identification during events; recognize, repair and maintain.  
  • Ensuring the safety and security of all guests, entertainers and team members/employees.  
  • Other duties as assigned.  

Skills You'll Need to Succeed

  • Experience with speaker systems, FOH/monitor consoles, and mic systems inclusive of conference systems.  
  • Lighting Experience: Concert and corporate lighting, programming moving light fixtures. 
  • Experience working with musical acts of all calibers and genres.  
  • Basic video experience.  
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.  
  • Ability to read instructions and schematic diagrams.  
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.  
  • Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.  
  • Experience working with corporate clients as well as national and regional touring acts.  
  • Strong knowledge of Apple and Windows operating systems.  

 

A Few Must Haves

  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience with set up and handling aspects of audio, video and lighting.  
  • Proven venue experience is preferred.  
  • Sound and light engineering or related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and/or push up to 80lbs.
  • Must be able to work standing for up to 4 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to work in small, confined areas.
  • Must be able to bend at the waist
  • Must be able to reach above the head.
