The Entertainment Technician is responsible for the set-up, execution and maintenance of entertainment venue sound, lighting and video equipment for concerts as well as corporate events.
Where You'll Make an Impact
- Setting up and operating venue audio, video, staging, and lighting systems for concerts and corporate events.
- Trouble shooting and problem identification during events; recognize, repair and maintain.
- Ensuring the safety and security of all guests, entertainers and team members/employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills You'll Need to Succeed
- Experience with speaker systems, FOH/monitor consoles, and mic systems inclusive of conference systems.
- Lighting Experience: Concert and corporate lighting, programming moving light fixtures.
- Experience working with musical acts of all calibers and genres.
- Basic video experience.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Ability to read instructions and schematic diagrams.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.
- Experience working with corporate clients as well as national and regional touring acts.
- Strong knowledge of Apple and Windows operating systems.
A Few Must Haves
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience with set up and handling aspects of audio, video and lighting.
- Proven venue experience is preferred.
- Sound and light engineering or related experience preferred.
